Mali: Open Balkan states have officially established common labour market

BELGRADE - Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali announced the Open Balkan member states - Serbia, Albania and North Macedonia - had on Friday, March 1 officially established a common labour market.

Mali said electronic services for applications by workers would become available next week and that the eGovernment portals of the three countries would become interconnected.

BELGRADE - The Serbian economy continues to grow and develop, as confirmed by the latest statistical data indicating that Serbia's GDP grew by 3.8 pct in Q4 2023, compared to 2.5 pct growth during the entire last year, Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said in a statement.

Mali meets with World Bank's Alam

BELGRADE - Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali met with World Bank Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia Asad Alam in Belgrade on Monday.

The parties said Serbia's economic performance was good and that there were no problems with any of the 14 projects the World Bank was involved in in Serbia.

Mali: Money the least problem when it comes to compulsory military service

BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy PM and Finance Minister Sinisa Mali says funding is the least problem when it comes to the idea of reinstating compulsory military service and notes that there should be "no question about money" in that regard.

He says putting army barracks back into use would be a boost to local economies and cities.
