Bulgaria Ranks 36th in Frasers's 2021 Economic Freedom of the World Annual Report
Bulgaria ranks 36th among 165 countries and territories in Frasers's 2021 Economic Freedom of the World Annual Report, losing four positions from last year, said Tuesday the Institute for Market Economics (IME) which is the local partner of Fraser Institute.
A year earlier Bulgaria was 32nd in the ranking.
Bulgarians - Most Mentally Stable in the EU
Bulgaria and Romania are at the bottom of the ranking of the European statistical agency Eurostat for the share of citizens of EU countries suffering from chronic depression.
The share of citizens of EU countries suffering from chronic depression in 2019 is 7.2%, according to Eurostat.
According to researchers, this share has increased by 0.3% compared to 2014.

Slovenia lose to Croatia in 2022 World Cup qualifiers
Split – Slovenia lost against Croatia 0:3 in Split on Tuesday in the sixth round of the group stage of the World Cup qualifiers, with almost no chances left for qualification now. Coach Matjaž Kek and captain Jan Oblak acknowledged Croatia’s superiority after the match.
CNSU updates list of countries with high epidemiological risk
The National Committee for Emergency Situations (CNSU) updated on Thursday the list of countries with high epidemiological risk. According to CNSU, Serbia, Estonia, Albania, Tunisia, Mauritius, Jamaica, Lebanon, Palestine, Belize, Antigua and Barbuda, Suriname and Brunei Darussalam have entered the red zone.
70% of Adults in EU have been Vaccinated
The EU has achieved its goal of fully vaccinating 70 percent of its population against COVID-19, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced on Tuesday. "I want to thank everyone who made it possible to achieve this great thing," she said.
"But the pandemic is not over. We need more. I call on everyone who can to be vaccinated," Von der Layen said.

FM Logar and Maltese colleague Bartolo agree on migration issue
Ljubljana – Foreign Minister Anže Logar and his Maltese counterpart Evarist Bartolo, who is on an official visit to Slovenia, said on Wednesday that reforms in the EU’s migration policy were necessary. The pair agreed that migration issues should be tackled primarily in countries of origin, adding the same applied to the situation in Afghanistan.

Bulgaria Signs Join Statement on Civil Order in Afghanistan
Bulgaria on August 16 signed a joint statement saying Afghans and international citizens who want to leave Afghanistan must be allowed to depart and that airports and border crossings must remain open.
