MEXICO CITY, Mexico - Five months after the upper house of Mexico's Congress, the Senate, voted in favor of the legalization of medicinal marijuana, the lower house Chamber of Deputies has followed suit and has approved the impending legislation.

US will not immediately exit NAFTA, Trump tells Canada, Mexico
President Donald Trump on April 26 told the leaders of NAFTA partners Canada and Mexico that the United States will not immediately move to exit the regional free trade agreement.
The announcement followed U.S. media reports that Trump was considering giving formal notice of pulling the United States out of the North American Free Trade Agreement.
Trump Says He Won't Pull US Out of NAFTA
President Donald Trump has told the leaders of Mexico and Canada that he will not pull out of the North American Free Trade Agreement, ABC News reports.
The White House made the surprise announcement in a read-out of calls Wednesday between the world leaders.
The White House says the president "agreed not to terminate NAFTA at this time."

Trump Preparing to Sign Order to Pull Out of NAFTA
News reports say President Donald Trump may be preparing to sign an executive order pulling the United States out of the North American Free Trade Agreement.
Trump has called the pact that took effect in 1994 a disaster that has primarily benefited Mexico and cost the U.S. jobs.

Venezuela's energized opposition is planning sit-ins on roads, silent marches in white to commemorate the dead and other nontraditional protests as it tries to build on the momentum of recent street demonstrations against President Nicolas Maduro's socialist government.
The most dangerous countries, according to the US state department
The US department of State issued warnings for 43 countries and alerts for two others from January 20 2016 onwards. Some countries such as Mexico, Mali, and Israel (as well as Gaza and the West Bank) receive multiple warnings, suggesting they’re the most dangerous.
Moreover, comparisons of the number of deaths of Americans similarly put Mexico near the top of the scary places list.

Of the 50 cities on the list, 43 are in Latin America, including 19 in Brazil, eight in Mexico, and seven in Venezuela.
The region’s violence is in large part drug related, driven by traffickers and supplemented by gang wars, political instability, and widespread poverty that has been exacerbated by sluggish economic growth or economic reversals.
