PM to host Western Balkan, EU leaders on Monday for enlargement talks
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has invited leaders of Western Balkan countries and EU officials to Athens on Monday night for a dinner and an informal discussion on EU enlargement and the European future of the region, his office announced.

The three Bulgarian citizens arrested in Great Britain for espionage for Russia remain in custody. Their remand is expected to be heard at the end of September, and they will appear in court in January next year.

Water polo: Greece makes World Championship final and Paris 2024
The men's national polo team advanced to the World Championship final in Fukuoka by beating Serbia 13-7 in the first semi-final on Thursday, also booking a ticket to the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

"Dolphins" defeated the Italians in the penalty shootout 4:3, 15:14 (3:3, 2:2, 4:4, 2:2), after the score was 11:11 in the regular part of the match.
In the semi-finals, they will play against Greece, which eliminated Montenegro.

Russia's Zvonareva denied entry to Poland for WTA
Russian former world number two Vera Zvonareva has been denied entry to Poland where she was to participate in next week's Polish Open WTA tournament, the interior ministry said on July 22.
"Vera Zvonareva was trying to enter our country with a visa granted by France, via a flight from Belgrade," according to a statement issued by the Polish ministry.

According to a government report published on Wednesday outgoing Finance Minister Aleksandar Damjanovic and CRBC official Hei Shiquiang met on July 3 about potential cooperation on the construction of the second and third phases of the highway.
