Turkey a safe haven for investors, Davuto?lu says

Turkey is one of the safest and highest profit places for investment despite the geopolitical hardships the country faces, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu has said at the Investors Forum held in The Hague.

"Turkey is a safe haven for foreign investors in spite of the geopolitical hardships surrounding the country," Davuto?lu said.  

Millions spent on art over five years

Turkey spent $223 million on artwork from abroad between 2011 and 2015, according to data provided by the Turkish Statistics Institute. England was the first country for art imports, followed by the US, France and GermanyOver the last five years between 2011 and 2015, Turkey has imported $223 million worth of artifacts, collection items and antiques.

Bautista Agut Triumphs in First Edition of Sofia Open

Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut won the first edition of Garanti Koza Sofia Open which was held in the Bulgarian capital last week.

In the final played on Sunday, first seeded Agut defeated Serbian Viktor Troicki, who was seeded second, with 6:3, 6:4.

The match attracted 8500 spectators in the Arena Armeec hall and lasted one hour and twenty minutes.

Bulgaria Drops to 75th Place in FIFA Ranking

The Bulgarian men's national football team dropped three positions in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World ranking released on Thursday.

At present, Bulgaria occupies 75th position with 494 points, being between the teams of South Africa and Zambia.

There is no change to the first eighteen positions in the ranking as only 43 matches have been played since the start of the year.

Sofia Hosts Bulgaria's First ATP World Tour Tournament

For the first time in history, Bulgaria hosts a tournament from the ATP World Tour.

The first edition of Garanti Koza Sofia Open began on Monday and will last until Sunday, with the Arena Armeec hall being the venue for the matches.

The draw took place on Saturday, qualifications followed on Saturday and Sunday and the matches from the first round began on Monday.
