UK to Push for More Flexibility in Brexit Talks

In Brussels Tuesday, U.K. and EU negotiators will thrash out a format for the next round of Brexit talks ahead of a December meeting of the European Council, when EU leaders will decide if "sufficient progress" has been made to warrant moving to the next stage.

Theresa May has vowed to make it as easy as possible for EU citizens to remain in the UK after Brexit ahead of a key summit of European leaders, BBC reported. 

In a Facebook post, the prime minister insisted the application process for settled status would be "streamlined" and the cost "as low as possible".

Road to Russia 2018: Greece to go into playoff draw next Tuesday

Dublin Rejects British Proposal For Post-Brexit Irish Border

Ireland dismissed British proposals for the Irish border after Brexit as unconvincing on Friday, a day after the EU chief negotiator said they amounted to a demand the bloc suspend its laws for Britain, reported Reuters. 

But British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, speaking at a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Tallinn, said a solution was "not beyond the wit of man".

UK warns European Union not to 'drag its feet' on Brexit

The European Union should not "drag its feet" in negotiating Brexit, a British government source said on Aug. 27 ahead of a fresh round of UK-EU divorce talks in Brussels this week.

"Both sides must be flexible and willing to compromise when it comes to solving areas where we disagree," the source said.
