16 European countries, including Bulgaria, will seek a new agreement with Russia on arms control, reported Reuters.

"European security is in danger," stated German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier. "We need to have more conversations with Russia, not less,  no matter how complicated our relations are at the moment."

The European awards for encouraging entrepreneurship will be presented in Bratislava on Thursday, reported BNR.

Innovative companies from all over Europe, Norway, Iceland, Serbia and Turkey will compete in six categories.

Foreign direct investment (FDI) into Bulgaria was 21% less in the first nine months of 2016 compared to the same period of last year, central bank statistics show.

According to data from the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB), FDI for January - September 2016 amounted to EUR 1.3 B, which is 2.8% of Bulgaria's gross domestic product (GDP).

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic spoke with Norwegian Ambassador Arne Bjornstad, who stressed that Norway wants to help Serbia on its chosen EU path with support for necessary reforms, sustainable economic growth and social development.

The EU has allowed 5 states in Schengen to continue the checks for illegal migrants along their internal land frontiers until February 2017.

The final decision was adopted by the governments of the member-states after a proposal by the European Commission.

On November 3, the London-based research institute Legatum released its 10th annual global Prosperity Index, which evaluates countries based on a variety of factors, namely health, happiness and the economic prosperity of its inhabitants.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic met on Tuesday in Belgrade with Norwegian Ambassador Arne Sannes Bjornstad.

They spoke about Norway's bilateral aid to Serbia "that would be in line with the priorities of the Serbian government," the government announced.
