New Hospital Managers Appointed by Caretaker Health Minister
Caretaker Health Minister Stoycho Katsarov has replaced all members of the Boards of Directors of the state-owned Lozenetz Hospital and Alexandrovska University Hospital in Sofia, pending the conduct of competitions, Katsarov's Ministry said in a press release on Friday.
Organ Transplant Scandal Erupts in Bulgaria
Bulgaria's health ministry revealed on Thursday that under the former government of Boyko Borissov the state hospital performed organ transplants on poor live donors for rich "uncles" operating under a false identity for which the ministry has "every reason to believe that they are not relatives, as required by law".

UK Adds New Countries on Travel Ban Red List, See What They are
Travel from the Philippines, Pakistan, Kenya and Bangladesh is to be banned from next week, the government says.
They are being added to England's "red list" amid concerns about the spread of new Covid-19 variants.
From 04:00 on 9 April, international visitors who have travelled from or through those countries in the previous 10 days will be refused entry.
EU approves Covid-19 vaccine export to UK, US, Japan, China, Gulf countries
The European Commission has so far approved all requests for the export of Covid-19 vaccines, including to Britain, the United States and Japan, since it set up on January 30 a mechanism to monitor vaccine trade, a spokeswoman said on Thursday.
Top Turkish diplomat visits Oman amid Gulf tour

Turkish foreign minister to begin Gulf tour
The Turkish foreign minister will embark on a three-day Gulf tour on Feb. 9 for official visits to Kuwait, Oman and Qatar.
According to a statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry on Feb. 8, Çavuşoğlu will pay official visits to Kuwait, Oman and Qatar on Feb. 9-11 and "will hold talks with his counterparts and other high-level authorities" on the occasion of these visits.
