IMF and Pakistan reach $3 billion stand-by deal

Pakistan could get temporary relief for its ballooning foreign debt with a new stand-by arrangement worth $3 billion announced by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington on June 30.

The economy has been stricken by a balance-of-payments crisis as it attempts to service crippling external debt, while months of political chaos have scared off potential foreign investment.

Bulgaria: Police detained 46 Illegal Migrants in Kokalyane

46 illegal migrants were found in a house in the Sofia village of Kokalyane.

The Ministry of the Interior specified to the National Radio that the migrants were from Morocco, Syria and Pakistan. All of them are men, and 11 of them are minors.

A pre-trial proceeding is being conducted on the case.

Pakistan says 350 nationals were on boat that sank off Greece

At least 350 Pakistanis were on an overloaded boat that capsized and sank in open seas off Greece last week, Pakistan's Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Friday.

The boat with a capacity of 400 people had over 700 people on board, he told the country's parliament, adding that a total of 281 Pakistani families had contacted the government to seek help.
