Jewish Group Seeks Nobel Prize for Bulgarian Church
The Bulgarian Jewish community in Israel has proposed nominating the Bulgarian Orthodox Church for a Nobel Peace Prize for its role in rescuing Jews from the Nazi Holocaust.
Those behind the initiative have already begun the formal procedure for the Nobel Prize Nomination and will seek international support, Bulgarian National Radio said on Thursday.

Turkey to provide $1.5 million in health aid to Gaza
Turkey has said it has transferred $1.5 million to the WHO's Palestine Representation in order to assist health institutions in Gaza. The announcement comes a day after Turkish and Israeli officials met in Geneva to normalize ties.
A statement issued late on Feb. 12 by the Foreign Ministry said the financial aid was made upon the request of the Palestinians.
Turkish businesses want to rebuild Gaza for $5 billion
A team from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) has spoken about a $5-billion Turkish plan prepared by the Center for Multilateral Trade Studies at the Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV) to rebuild Gaza City, after a series of meetings with officials from both Israel and Palestine.
Bulgaria Drops to 75th Place in FIFA Ranking
The Bulgarian men's national football team dropped three positions in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World ranking released on Thursday.
At present, Bulgaria occupies 75th position with 494 points, being between the teams of South Africa and Zambia.
There is no change to the first eighteen positions in the ranking as only 43 matches have been played since the start of the year.

'Turkish Coast Guard rescued more than 91,000 migrants in 2015'
Turkey's Coast Guard rescued 91,611 would-be migrants who left their countries in a bid to reach northern and Western Europe in 2015, while 279 of them lost their lives in drowning incidents in the Aegean Sea, according to officials.
