Slovenia latest European nation to recognize Palestinian state
Slovenia's parliament on Tuesday passed a decree recognizing a Palestinian state, following last week's recognition by three other European states.
With the move in response to the devastating Gaza war, Slovenia becomes the latest to do so, pushing ahead with a vote in defiance of an opposition motion to derail it.
FM pledges cooperation with China for Gaza ceasefire
Ankara will continue to collaborate with Beijing to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said during his three-day trip to China on June 4.

Chinese President Xi Jinping called on Thursday for a peace conference on the war between Israel and Palestinian militant group Hamas as he addressed Arab leaders and diplomats at a forum in Beijing.
China is this week hosting Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and several other Arab leaders for a forum at which discussions on the war in Gaza were expected.

Turkish parliament calls for urgent UN Security Council meeting
The Turkish parliament has adopted a motion condemning Israel's attacks in the Gaza Strip city of Rafah, calling for an urgent meeting at the United Nations Security Council.
The resolution, passed unanimously at the general assembly on May 29, called on the security council to urgently convene and adopt a resolution to put an end to Israel's attacks in the southern Gaza city.
Erdoğan accuses UN, US, Europe of complicity in Gaza attacks
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has lashed out at the United Nations, the United States and European nations, accusing them of complicity in the ongoing violence in Gaza.
"Is there not a shred of humanity left in you, do you have no limits, no boundaries? Are you so hostile to humanity, do you have no shred of conscience?" Erdoğan asked during a parliamentary meeting on May 29.
