Malta activists urge Greece to grant asylum to whistleblower
Anti-corruption activists in Malta said on Tuesday they had written to Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras urging him to grant asylum to a Russian woman who blew the whistle on alleged wrongdoing at Malta-based Pilatus Bank.
The woman, Maria Efimova, fled Malta after the car-bomb murder of investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, who had identified her as one of her sources.

The EU Published a "Black" List of 17 Offshore Zones
European Union finance ministers adopted on Tuesday a blacklist of tax havens which includes 17 extra-EU jurisdictions seen as not cooperative on tax matters, French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said.
20 Countries are on the Offshore Black List of the EU
More than 20 countries can be included in the EU's black list of tax havens, the Financial Times writes.
With the list, the EU will try to tackle aggressive tax evasion. A list of 25 countries is included in the list drawn up by the Code of Conduct Group (Taxation of Undertakings), which includes tax experts from the EU Member States.
