Romania updates list of countries in COVID-19 red, yellow, green areas
Romania's National Committee for Emergency Situations (CNSU) updated on Friday its list of countries or areas with high COVID-19 epidemiological risk. "The classification of the countries/areas by the cumulative rate of COVID-19 cases in order to sort the persons arriving in Romania accordingly and subject them to quarantine is hereby approved," reads CNSU Decision 39.
New data in Peru show COVID-19 death toll is over 180,000
Peru on May 31 announced a sharp increase in its COVID-19 death toll, saying there have been more than 180,000 fatalities since the pandemic hit the country early last year.
The announcement was made in the presidential palace during the presentation of a report by a working group commissioned to analyze and update the death toll.
Brazil’s daily deaths from COVID pass 4,000 for first time
Brazil reported a 24-hour tally of COVID-19 deaths exceeding 4,000 for the first time on April 6, becoming the third nation to go above that daily threshold.
Many governors, mayors and judges are reopening parts of the economy despite lingering chaos in overcrowded hospitals and a collapsed health system in several parts of the country.

Doctor who led the clinical trial of the Chinese vaccine "Sinopharm" spoke about the former president before the Peruvian parliament, saying that Vizcarra himself asked to be vaccinated, even though the vaccine was still in the trial phase.

President Iohannis accredits several ambassadors
