Gangs make advances as conditions in Haiti worsen
Haiti's gangs have made advances in Port-au-Prince, a U.N. official reported Thursday, with political parties inching toward forming a transition government and new bloodshed roiling the troubled Caribbean nation.
Police in Port-au-Prince confirmed that a major gang leader, Ernst Julme, known as Ti Greg, was slain in a clash with security forces. Julme led the Delmas 95 gang.

Serbia to play US, South Sudan in group stage of men's Olympic basketball tournament
MIES - The Serbia men's national basketball team was on Tuesday drawn to play the United States, South Sudan and the winner of a qualifying tournament in Puerto Rico in Group C of the July 27-August 11 Olympic Basketball Tournament Paris 2024.
The group stage will be played in Lille and the knockout stage in Paris.

Haiti PM agrees to leave in regional push to end crisis
Haiti's prime minister agreed late Monday to step aside as armed gangs plunge his country into anarchy, as he accepted a regional push for a transition that sets the stage for international intervention.

He demands that the Prime Minister of that country, Ariel Henry, does not resign, the BBC reports.
Chrizier issued the public threat as members of his gang attempt to seize control of the city's main airport to prevent Henry's return from abroad.
It was reported that the riots had spread to other cities, while a prison riot took place in the city of Jacmel.

A powerful Haitian gang leader warned Tuesday that the chaos engulfing the capital Port-au-Prince will lead to civil war and "genocide" unless Prime Minister Ariel Henry steps down.

Pešić announced the list, officially, Serbia without Jokić!
Serbia will play in Manila in Group B with South Sudan, China and Puerto Rico.
The top two teams will form a new group in the second round with two teams from Group A, which includes Angola, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines and Italy.
Jokić is not playing at Mundobasket!
The coach of Serbia, Svetislav Pei, has not yet announced the list of players and will do so on Monday, but it seems that the current NBA champion will not be on it.
While we wait for that to finally happen, "Mozzart Sport" has certain knowledge about the names on the list - and it doesn't look good.
