Saudi delegation visits Hellenic Aerospace Industry

A delegation from the military academy of Saudi Arabia led by its commander, Major General Almalki Hassan Abdullah, visited the premises of the Hellenic Aerospace Industry (EAB) on Wednesday. 

The members of the delegation were briefed on the activities of the company in the context of their visit to Greece this week.

Germany ready to sell Eurofighter jets to Saudi Arabia: minister

Germany is ready to allow sales of Eurofighter jets to Saudi Arabia, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said Sunday, having for years blocked arms deals with the Gulf kingdom.

Germany, Britain, Italy and Spain jointly build the jet and each can veto deals.

Berlin has blocked one deal, sought by London, since 2018.

Antony Blinken’s whirlwind tour

Crete will be US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's second of nine stops in his whirlwind trip, mainly to the Middle East, from Jan. 4-11.

Blinken will hold talks with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in the latter's family hometown of Hania Saturday, having visited Istanbul Friday.
