Somalia has Declared a State of Emergency because of a Locust Swarms
Somalia has declared a state of emergency due to the invasion of locusts in the Horn of Africa, France's press reported, citing a statement by the Somali Ministry of Agriculture.
Locusts destroy crops in one of the poorest and most vulnerable regions of the world.
Somalia is the first country in the region to declare an emergency over the infestation.

Turkey has brought wounded people in a suicide attack in Mogadishu over the weekend, to the capital Ankara on Jan. 21.
Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca told Anadolu Agency that transport aircraft belongs to the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) was transformed into an air ambulance to bring 10 injured in the attack on the instructions of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Greece returned to Turkey eleven migrants who did not qualify for international protection, Migration Minister Notis Mitarakis announced on social media on Friday evening.
The group includes migrants from Afghanistan, Algeria, Iraq, Morocco, Pakistan, Somalia, and Tunisia.

Greece's Coast Guard resumed on Monday a rescue operation to locate refugees and migrants who fell into the sea when their boat sank on Saturday 13 nautical miles southwest of the island of Paxi, western Greece.
The twelve bodies that have so far been pulled out of the sea have not yet been identified, but none of them are children, the state-run news agency ANA-MPA reported.
