Second largest diamond recovered in Botswana
A small Canadian diamond company has announced the discovery of the world’s second biggest gem quality diamond that has ever been recovered, as Telegraph reports.
According to Lucara Diamond Corp the 1,111 carat stone was found at its Karowe mine in north-central Botswana.

BRICS call on G-20 to work harder on economic policy cooperation
The BRICS group of emerging nations called on the Group of 20 (G-20) top developed and developing nations on Nov. 15 to strengthen their macroeconomic policy cooperation to prevent bad effects from a weak global economy and reduce risks to growth.
Study: Greeks are more honest than other countries give them credit for!
Research from the University of East Anglia (UEA) found that honesty levels vary between countries. The study’s findings suggest that honesty has less to do with a country’s economic growth than its culture and history.
Life expectancy has risen by 10 years
Life expectancy at birth increased by almost 10 years since 1970, says a report published by Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
Nearly all OECD and emerging countries have experienced large gains in life expectancy over the past 40 years. Life expectancy at birth in Turkey, Korea and Mexico has increased by twenty years or more over the period 1970-2010.

Doing (Don't Do) Business
One of my favorite Turkish constructs is the "me/ma" suffix, which could mean "ing" or "don't." So "i? yapma" would be the Turkish for the World Bank's annual Doing Business report. It could also translate as "don't do business."
