Bulgaria will seek to join both the eurozone's waiting room and the bloc's banking union within a year, Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov said on Tuesday (12 June).
Half of Bulgarians Approve of the Potential Introduction of the Euro
The Bulgarian society remains conflicted about the introduction of the euro. 51% of Bulgarians approve it as the currency of their country. This shows the Eurobarometer survey conducted by TNS, Investor.bg reported. The poll was conducted between 11 and 12 April 2018 in the seven EU Member States that have not yet joined the euro area.
Qquant to manage 'Earth' portfolio loans
Qualco's Greek subsidiary Qquant is according to sources undertaking the management of the bad-loan portfolio of 5.2 billion euros that National Bank of Greece is selling to the consortium of Sweden's Intrum and US firm CarVal.

Mirela Demireva made a Historic Jump in Stockholm
Bulgarian Mirela Demireva finished second in the discipline of high jump of the race from the Diamond Athletics League in Stockholm (Sweden), reports Gong.bg.
Olympic vice-champion of the Rio 2016 Demireva finished at 200 centimeters, with her third attempt, and for the first time in her career she overcame the master border.

Ivet Lalova Won the 200m Race in Stockholm
Ivet Lalova won 200 meters of the Diamond Athletics League tournament in Stockholm (Sweden).
The Bulgarian finished in 22.63 seconds, improving with one hundredth of хер strongest result for the season.
The 34-year-old Bulgarian Sprinter had 22.64 seconds to the Diamond League in Rome, where she finished second.

Jazz Festival | Athens | June 4-10
This year's Technopolis Jazz Festival at the City of Athens's cultural complex in the downtown Gazi district features 21 bands, including acts from around Greece, as well as Belgium, the UK, Portugal, Luxembourg, Denmark, Sweden and Norway, among others.
