Good news and bad news for Turkey's tourism sector

Turkey?s tourism sector has been sending mixed signals, according to a recent report by the World Economic Forum. The country was ranked 44th among 141 countries in the competitiveness index, although Turkey was also the sixth-most visited country by foreign tourists, according to the report, titled ?The Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index 2015 Ranking.? 

Bank Hapoalim says its Turkish bank gets takeover approach

Bank Pozitif has received an initial takeover approach from a potential investor, the Turkish bank's parent company Bank Hapoalim said on May 12.

Hapoalim, Israel's largest lender, said in a statement to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange that the unnamed investor has offered to buy all of Pozitif's outstanding shares, including the 70 percent stake held by Hapoalim.

Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov proceeded to the quarterfinals of the men's singles competition of the Madrid Open.

Dimitrov won against Stanislas Wawrinka from Switzerland with 7:6 (5), 3:6, 6:3 in a match, which lasted just below two hours.

Sofia City Court has terminated the legal case against former Deputy Parliament Speaker, Hristo Biserov. The indictment has been returned to the Prosecutor's Office, as announced by the court's press service.
