Libya’s Parliament has called back its ambassador from Turkey.

Quoting an unnamed source, the Dubai-based broadcaster Al Arabiya reported Sept. 2 that the Libyan Foreign Ministry accused President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of interfering with Libya’s internal affairs after saying the relocation of Libya’s Parliament to Tobruk was “unacceptable.”

Defense minister to take part in NATO summit

BELGRADE -- Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić will head a delegation that will attend the NATO summit in Wales, set to held on September 5 and 6.

The United States plans to fight Islamic State of Syrian and the Levant (ISIL) until it is no longer a force in the Middle East and will seek justice for the killing of American journalist Steven Sotloff, President Barack Obama said on Sept. 3.

Bosnia: Arrests of suspected Muslim extremists

SARAJEVO -- Bosnia's State Investigation and Protection Agency early on Wednesday arrested 17 people suspected of having links with the Wahhabi movement.

The operation, codenamed "Damascus," was conducted in 15 cities in Bosnia-Herzegovina, it was announced.

Officers from the Bosnian State Investigative and Protection Agency, SIPA arrested the alleged jihad recruiters during raids in Sarajevo, Kiseljak, Zenica, Magaj, Srebrenik, Zvornik, Buzim and Teslic on Wednesday in an operation codenamed Damask.

A Montenegrin police report said immigrants from Pakistan, Algeria, Morocco, Afghanistan, Syria, Tunisia, and especially people of Kurdish origin, are illegaly transiting Montenegro, mainly to Serbia, where they continue to Western countries.

President Barack Obama has ordered an increase of about 350 troops in Baghdad to protect the U.S. Embassy in the Iraqi capital and is sending top officials to the Middle East to "build a stronger regional partnership" against Islamic State in Syria and the Levant (ISIL) militants, the White House said on Sept. 2.

A video showing the purported beheading of US journalist Steven Sotloff held hostage by Islamic State has been released online, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday.

The NATO Summit will demonstrate NATO’s capabilities as a military alliance, British Ambassador to Turkey Richard Moore said, ahead of the alliance’s Sept. 4-5 meetings in Wales.
