Turkish agency sends aid to countries amid coronavirus

A Turkish state-run aid agency sent aid packages to North Macedonia, Lebanon and Tunisia amid novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
In North Macedonia, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) distributed 2,500 packages of food, cleaning and hygiene products with the help of a local non-governmental organization.

GCS: Three more Romanians infected with COVID-19 die abroad; 94 Romanians abroad test positive

Three more Romanians infected with the novel coronavirus, namely two in France and one in the UK, have died abroad, and the number of Romanian citizens abroad who tested positive for COVID-19 stands at 94, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informs.

GCS: 308 new coronavirus cases in Romania; total number of sick - 1,760

Bucharest, Mar 29 /Agerpres/ - A number of 1,760 persons were confirmed up to now to have the novel coronavirus, 38 deaths being recorded, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informed on Sunday. Since the last informative bulletin, 308 new cases were recorded. The patients recently confirmed infected have ages between 0 and 89, the GCS mentioned.

Passengers stranded at Istanbul airport sent to another city

More than 1,500 passengers, mostly from Algeria, Tunisia and Jordan, who have been stranded at Istanbul Airport, have been transferred to an emptied student dormitory in the northern province of Karabük.

Those passengers have been stuck at the airport for days after their countries closed airspace and flights were canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
