Tunisia said it would arm tourism police and deploy hundreds of reinforcements as authorities moved to boost security after a jihadist gunned down 38 people at a seaside resort in an attack claimed by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Israel's navy boarded and took over an activist vessel seeking to break its Gaza blockade and was escorting it to port on June 29 in an operation that did not use force, the military said.

Hundreds of armed police patrolled the streets of Tunisia's beach resorts on June 28 and the government said it will deploy hundreds more inside hotels after the Islamist militant attack in Sousse that killed 39 foreigners, mostly Britons. 

Britain says Islamist militants may launch further attacks on tourist resorts in Tunisia after a gunman killed 39 people, including at least 15 Britons, in the worst assault of its kind in modern Tunisian history. 

The third "Gaza Freedom Flotilla" has left Greece's Crete Island and is expected to come close to the shores of Gaza within four days, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition said in an official statement June 27.

The attack on a tourist hotel in Sousse, east Tunisia left at least 37 people dead, including foreigners, and injured 36 others on June 26, the Tunisian Health Ministry said.

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) on June 27 claimed responsibility for a massacre in a Tunisian seaside resort that killed nearly 40 people, most of them British tourists, in the worst attack in the country's recent history.
   

The death toll from the two terrorist attacks, which took place in Tunisia and Kuwait on Friday, is rising.

According to latest reports, at least 37 people, mainly foreign tourists, were killed and 36 injured in the attack on a beach in the Tunisian resort city of Sousse.

Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev and Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov condemned the three terrorist attacks, which took place in France, Tunisia and Kuwait on Friday.

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the three attacks, which threatened the values of peace, democracy and freedom and expressed solidarity with the peoples of the three countries.

A terrorist attack took place in Sousse, Tunisia, at a beach near a tourist resort, earlier today.

According to the Tunisian Ministry of Interior, the number of dead has reached 27 and is expected to rise.
