Turkey's foreign minister held phone conversations with his Hungarian, Lithuanian and Bulgarian counterparts on Aug. 13, according to a source in the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto discussed recent matters related to the Eastern Mediterranean.
Turkey and Libya signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost trade and economic ties, the Turkish trade minister said on Aug. 13.
The deal will lay the groundwork for resolving ongoing issues between Turkish firms and Libyan employers, setting new investments and undertaking new projects, Ruhsar Pekcan said at a meeting held in Turkey's capital Ankara.

A new notice to airmen issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Wednesday extends travel bans with Balkan and European countries through August 31, to protect passengers and residents of Greece from a rise in new coronavirus cases.
According to the notice:
- Flights between Greece and Turkey remain suspended to August 31 (midnight).
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis thanked French President Emmanuel Macron for his support, after the latter announced late Wednesday that France would increase its military presence in the eastern Mediterranean.
Mitsotakis described Macron as "a true friend of Greece" and an "ardent defender of European values and international law."
Turkey's Defense Minister Hulusi Akar on Aug. 13 visited Azerbaijan to observe joint military exercises.
He was accompanied by a delegation comprising army chief Gen. Yaşar Güler and top naval, land and air forces commanders.
The military exercises will also be attended by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Aamir Khan, the world-renowned movie star from India, gathered with his fans in southeastern Turkey on Aug. 12.
Khan stopped shooting his movie Laal Singh Chaddha, an adaption of the 1994 classic Forrest Gump due to the novel coronavirus outbreak in India, and started looking for alternative locations in Turkey to shoot his movie.
