Belgrade on Water the greatest development opportunity
BELGRADE - The Belgrade on Water project is the city's greatest development opportunity and the most significant infrastructure project in the country, the head of the Belgrade Interim Authority Sinisa Mali has said.
"The presentation of the project at the real estate fair in Cannes was an outstanding opportunity for us," the Belgrade city administration quoted Mali as saying.
Additional USD 100 million for irrigation by year’s end
BELGRADE - A USD 100 million loan from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be used for irrigation projects that are ready, Serbian Agriculture Minister Dragan Glamocic, announcing the arrival of an additional USD 100 million tranche loan for irrigation by the end of the year.

BELGRADE - The Belgrade on Water project kicked off Saturday with a removal of railway tracks on Platform West of the Belgrade railway station, and the first stage of the works should be completed in six to eight months from now.

KOPAONIK – A visit should be paid to Serbia in May by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) foreign minister and a UAE business delegation who want to explore opportunities for business cooperation, Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) President Zeljko Sertic told Tanjug.
“This is a good and quality way to go that could bring economic growth,” Sertic said.

Djogovic: UAE loan should be used to cut debt
BELGRADE - Serbia should use the USD 1 billion loan granted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to pay back expensive loans and launch reforms, economist Sasa Djogovic of the Belgrade Institute for Market Research (IZIT) stated on Thursday.
We received a loan from UAE on more favourable terms than currently available on the market, Djogovic told a news conference.

Serbia signs agreement on UAE loan
BELGRADE/ABU DHABI - Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance Hamad Al Hurr Al Suwaidi and Serbian Finance Minister Lazar Krstic signed in Abu Dhabi on Thursday an agreement on the USD 1 billion loan from the United Arab Emirates to the Serbian budget.
Krstic said that the loan agreement reflects a considerable strengthening of the two countries' ties.
