The National Committee for Emergency Situations (CNSU) updated on Thursday the list of countries with high epidemiological risk. Romania's national airline Tarom has used a Boeing 737-800 aircraft for a humanitarian flight to Vietnam from Bucharest via Dubai and Saigon, to fly 199,200 COVID-19 vaccine doses donated by Romania. The flight took place on August 23.

The Iasi-based Antibiotice pharmaceuticals company has reported an H1 2021 business turnover of 163.39 million lei, up 11% from 2020, according to a company's press statement released on Monday. From its H1 2021 revenues, the company paid the public healthcare system 13.5 million lei in the clawback tax, which influenced the profitability rate.

President Klaus Iohannis had a telephone conversation with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Wednesday at the request of the Vietnamese official, announcing that Romania will donate 100,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Vietnam.
