Woman arrested trying to sell her 3-day-old grandchild
In a crackdown over Christmas, police in Larissa, central Greece, arrested a 40-year-old Romanian woman who allegedly tried to sell her 3-day-old grandchild to a Greek couple. Another four people implicated in planning the exchange were also held.

Romanians Splash out on Christmas Dinner
Large queues at supermarkets are the norm in Romania during the Christmas holiday season, and this year consumers are likely to spend similar amounts of money compared to previous years, according to preliminary estimates.
Around 69 per cent of people plan to give Christmas gifts, a recent survey from the Centre for the Studying of Market and Opinion, CSOP, said.
