An amateur video footage has shown the inside view of the New Year's celebrations at the Reina nightclub before it was raided by an armed terror attack that killed 39 people and wounded 65 others early on Jan. 1.

Police in Istanbul detained eight suspects on Jan. 2 over alleged links to the deadly New Year terror attack at Istanbul nightclub Reina.
On Jan. 1, a gunman opened fire on New Year revelers at the Reina nightclub on the shores of Istanbul's Bosporus, killing at least 39 people, including 25 foreigners, and wounding 65 before fleeing the scene.
IS Group Claims Responsibility for Istanbul Nightclub Attack
The Islamic State (IS) group says it carried out an attack that killed 39 and left dozens wounded during New Year celebrations in Istanbul.
In a statement quoted by international media, it says the raid was part of "the blessed operations that Islamic State is conducting against the protector of the cross, Turkey".
Opposition HDP condemns Reina terror attack
The Kurdish issue-focused Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) on Jan. 1 condemned the armed attack that targeted New Year revelers at a nightclub in central Istanbul, claiming 39 lives and wounding more than 60 people.
The HDP said it "cursed this inhumane attack," while also criticizing the Directorate of Religious Affairs' (Diyanet) Friday sermon on Dec. 30.

Turkey's Religious Affairs Directorate condemns terror attack at Reina club
Directorate of Religious Affairs Head Mehmet Görmez released a statement on Jan. 1 condemning the deadly attack at a nightclub in central Istanbul, which claimed 39 lives, describing the act as "savage and horrific."

35 killed in terror attack on famous night club in central Istanbul
An attacker killed at least 35 people, including a police officer, in a gun attack held on Reina, a popular night club in Istanbul, Governor Vasip Şahin said early on Jan. 1 live.
Dozens of people were also wounded in the attack that was carried out before 1:30 a.m., local broadcasters have reported.
