US Embassy to close for Veterans Day
The US Embassy in Athens and its consular section, the US Consulate General in Thessaloniki and all US government offices in Greece will be closed on Friday, November 10, in observance of Veterans Day.
Veterans Day, a US federal holiday, honors the country's military veterans.

President Iohannis hails Romanian troops as genuine ambassadors of Romania

Nikolic lays wreath at Monument to Unknown Hero
BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic on Friday laid a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Hero on Mt Avala near Belgrade in commemoration of the WWI Armistice Day.
Nikolic was accompanied by Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic and the Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff, General Ljubisa Dikovic.
