It's that time of year again, when Google publishes its lists of the most frequently used Google search terms used in 2015.
People in the Balkans, as in most countries around the globe, are most curious about pop singers and football players, according to an article published by Time weekly.
BIRN Albania Journalist Wins CEI SEEMO Prize
The Central European Initiative, CEI, and the South East Europe Media Organisation, SEEMO, on Thursday awarded Aleksandra Bogdani for her professional achievements as an intrepid reporter covering complex stories of human trafficking, organised crime and child abuse, corruption and national security.
She received the CEI/SEEMO Award for Outstanding Merits.
Festival Brings European Authors to Tirana
The second international literature "White Sea" festival gathered authors from all over the Europe in Tirana in an attempt to revive the cultural life of the Albanian capital.
Organized by Institute for Democracy, Media, and Culture, the festival gives European writers a stage to hold dialogue with each other and include a wider audience while discussing their work.
Voltaj band to represent Romania in 2015 Eurovision song contest
The Voltaj band will represent Romania in the 2015 Eurovision contest with the song 'De la capat' (Over Again), after winning the national selection on Sunday night in Craiova (west of Bucharest).

Voltaj got 24 points, with the specialized jury and public vote weighing 50 percent each.
Berlinale Film Festival: The main line-up
Isabel Coixet's 'Nobody Wants the Night' has been announced as the opening film of the 65th annual Berlin International Film Festival, that is scheduled to take place from 5 to 15 February 2015.
American film director Darren Aronofsky has been announced as the President of the Jury and German film director Wim Wenders is scheduled to be presented with the Honorary Golden Bear.
