Serbian men's basketball team loses last game in Trieste
TRIESTE - The tournament in Trieste ended in a defeat for the Serbian men's national basketball team, which lost to hosts Italy 80-71 (22-11, 15-24, 12-17, 31-19) in the last round late Tuesday.
It was the first defeat for head coach Aleksandar Djordjevic's team in the preparations for the upcoming World Championship in Spain.

TRIESTE - The Serbian men's national basketball team beat Canada 78-73 (16-12, 23-22, 22-19, 17-20) on Monday in the second round of a tournament in Trieste.
After beating Bosnia and Herzegovina (82-69) on Sunday, head coach Aleksandar Djordjevic's team scored their second win as they prepare for the World Championship.

Lionel Messi scored twice to lead Argentina to a 3:2 victory over Nigeria in their last group F match of the World Cup.
The match began spectacularly, with two goals in the opening 4 minutes. First Messi fired in from close range, from a shot deflected off the post. In the following attack however, Ahmed Musa equalized with a neat shot curled into the left corner of Romero’s goal.
Bosnia out as Nigeria end win drought
Bosnia-Hercegovina's maiden appearance at a World Cup finals ended in disappointment as Peter Odemwingie's goal condemned them to a 1-0 defeat by African champions Nigeria in Cuiaba and ensured they could not qualify for the second round.
Nigeria's win, their first at a World Cup finals since 1998, leaves them as favourites to join Argentina in the second round.
