Russia: RS referendum doesn't undermine Bosnia

Moscow is appealing against politicizing the issue of the RS Day referendum, and believes it does not undermine the territorial integrity of Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Bosnian Serb Referendum Results Questioned

Sinisa Karan, president of the referendum commission in Republika Srpska, told a press conference on Monday that, after all votes have been counted, 99.81 per cent of voters had said "yes" to maintaining January 9 as the mainly Serbian entity's national day.

Karan said that of the 1,219,399 people eligible to vote, 680,116 did so, giving a turnout of 55.67 per cent.

The Prosecution of Bosnia-Herzegovina has summoned RS President Milorad Dodik for questioning.

He is treated as a suspect in the RS Day referendum case, the Fena agency said it learned from the Prosecution, after inquiring about this institution's "activities in connection to the case related to the failure to implement a decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia-Herzegovina."
