Two Palestinian film directors won an award at the recently closed Sarajevo Film Festival - further confirmation that victims of the conflict in Gaza enjoy strong support among many people in Bosnia.

More than 90 international leaders and politicians are expected to attend Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s presidential handover ceremony.  

At least 15 countries will be represented at the highest level at the event, however, the United States will send its Ankara Embassy’s chargé d’affairs, a rather low level participant compared to other countries.

Interior minister meets with RS president

BANJA LUKA -- Serbia's Interior Minister Nebojša Stefanović said in Banja Luka on Wednesday that "EU membership was a goal Serbia and the Serb Republic (RS) shared."

Serbia "wishes to pass on its experience in EU integration" to the Serb entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina, he added.

Almost 35,000 people in Bosnia lost their jobs in the first half of this year, new figures published by the Agency for Labour and Employment show.

Statistics published in late August reveal that 34,605 became unemployed from January to June, approximately 5 per cent of the total workforce.

BERLIN - A conference focused on the Western Balkans will be held in Berlin on Thursday under German Chancellor Angela Merkel's patronage and it will include prime ministers, foreign ministers and ministers of economy from the region, with Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic among them.

Serbia "committed to missing persons' issue"

BELGRADE -- Serbia is absolutely committed to finding a solution to the missing persons' issue and not a single body or individual has ever done anything to prevent it.

BELGRADE - Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will go to Berlin on Wednesday, a day before a conference on the Western Balkans, and meet with Germany's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Sigmar Gabriel, the daily Kurir has reported.
