Serbia returns to Junior Eurovision Song Contest

BELGRADE - Serbia returns to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest after a three-year absence.

The Radio and Television of Serbia confirmed that it will send a representative to the 12th Junior Eurovision Song Contest, adding that the manner in which the Serbian entry will be selected is to be announced at a later date.

9th Vrnjci International Classical Music Festival in July

VRNJACKA BANJA - The 9th Vrnjci International Classical Music Festival will take place in the Culture castle in Vrnjacka Banja from July 20 to 30.

The festival will gather participants from Norway, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Great Britain, Germany and Serbia. The art director of the festival is Uros Dojcinovic.

New Music Festival Takes Place in Bulgaria's Burgas

On August 9, Bulgaria's Black Sea city of Burgas will host the first edition of the Sea Garden Festival.

Among the main guests of the event will be the popular R&B singer Yarah Bravo and DJ Vadim.

The one-day festival will take place in the Summer Theater of Burgas. The program includes Bulgarian singer Ruth Koleva and the new wave band Review, as well.

Opera in the Park Festival Begins in Bulgaria's Sofia

The summer festival Opera in the Park organized annually by Bulgaria's Sofia Opera and Ballet in the Park of the National Military Academy will be held between July 4-July 27.

The festival program includes the ballet Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky, Giselle by Adolphe Adam, Don Quixote by Ludwig Minkus and Zorba the Greek by Mikis Theodorakis, Bulgaria's National Radio informs.

Love Is Folly Film Vestival in Bulgaria's Varna to Close Saturday

Love Is Folly, one of Bulgaria's first international film festivals, is coming to its end Saturday evening in the Black Sea city of Varna.

Mr Morgan's Last Love, a 2013 co-production of Germany, Belgium, the US and France, is the last film to be seen at 19:00 EEST at the Festival and Congress Center where the event has taken place since it started in 1993.

International Jazz Stars Gather in Sofia for “A to Jazz” Festival

The international jazz festival “A to Jazz” will bring to Sofia an array of world class musicians for yet another year.

“A to Jazz” festival was created in 2011, with the help of the America for Bulgaria Foundation and is part of the official cultural calendar of the Sofia Municipality.

Sara Brightman to Perform in Sofia in November

British singer Sara Brightman will perform in Sofia's Arena Armeets on November 12, announced the promoters Karma Events and Balkan Entertainment Company. 

The show is part of the SARAH-Greatest Hits Tour and will be Brightman's first performance in Bulgaria. 

Tickets, priced BGN 80-150 go on sale on June 19 in the Eventim.bg online platform and box offices.

Salma Hayek Arrived in Sofia for a Movie Shoot

Hollywood star Salma Hayek arrived on Sunday afternoon in Sofia, reports Nova TV. 

She is in Bulgaria for the shoot of the film Septembers of Shiraz, based on the award-winning eponymous novel by Dalia Sofer on the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran. 

The Wrong Fest Greets the Summer

The two-day Voinegovtsi Wrong Fest will greet the summer on June 21-22, in the village of Voinegovtsi, 15 km north of Sofia. 

The festival will feature performances of well-established and up and coming alternative, rock, punk, ska and reggae bands from Bulgaria, FYROM and Greece. Among them are Babyface Clan, Rebelites, Smallman, Der Hunds, Mlyk!, Panican Whysaker, Sepuko 6, etc.

Maxim Behar Presented English Edition of Generation F in Barcelona

Bulgaria's PR expert Maxim Behar presented the English edition of his book “Generation F” in Barcelona, said the M3 Communications Group agency. 

In front of 150 communications experts from across the world, Behar gave the main presentation of the regional session of the World Communications Forum in Davos.
