Sofia, Varna To Co-Host Volleyball European Championship 2015 With 2 Italian Cities

Bulgaria's Sofia and Varna will co-host the 2015 CEV Volleyball European Championship with Italy's Milan and Turin, transpired at a meeting in Milan on Wednesday, reports the Gong.bg website.

The two sports halls in Bulgaria, which will host the tournament are Sofa's Arena Armeec and Varna's Palace Of Culture and Sports, which is closed for renovations.

Burgas has been elected European Capital of Sport 2015, according to a letter of the President of the European Capital of Sports Association (ACES) Gian Francesco Lupattelli.

The archaeological excavations at the Perperikon site in south eastern Bulgaria will continue next year, the head of the archaeological team Nikolay Ovcharov told journalists, quoted by BTA.

This season the team studied the buildings' reconstruction pattern from the Antiquity through the Middle Ages.
