President Radev Appoints Bulgaria's Caretaker Cabinet

Bulgaria's Govt Approves Additional BGN 1 B for Building Sanitation Programme

At its last meeting, the government of Boyko Borisov approved with a decree the additional funding of BGN 1 B for the national building sanitation programme. Parliament approved the funds last week.

The programme will be operational while there is money and buildings which comply with sanitation conditions.

72% of Bulgarians Want CVM To Continue

72% of Bulgarians want the European Commission to continue with its annual reports on the state of the judicial system in Bulgaria, showed a survey of Eurobarometer ordered by the EC.

According to the survey, this is the percentage of people who want the EU to continue monitoring until "Bulgaria reaches a standard close to that of the rest of the member-states."

Third Permanent Lane for Trucks To Be Opened at Danube Bridge 2

Bulgarian and Romanian border authorities have agreed to open a permanent third lane for trucks at the exit of the country at border cross checkpoint Danube Bridge 2.

In order to alleviate traffic, vehicles from countries outside the EU will be processed separately.

BH Air To Launch Direct Flights to Canada

Air carrier BH Air will launch direct flights from Sofia to Canada.

The charter company has been selected as the air carrier to service the flights, read a decision of the Council of Ministers taken on Wednesday.

BH Air has expressed readiness to start operating a direct route to Toronto. Initially, there will be two flights per week.

EU Urges Bulgaria to Adopt New Anti-Corruption Laws
