Bulgaria's Socialists Strike Cooperation Deal with Russian Opposition
Bulgaria's biggest opposition party BSP on Friday signed an agreement to cooperate with A Just Russia (Spravedlivaya Rossiya), a left-wing party.

Fire Engulfs Petrol Station on Bulgaria's Trakia Motorway
Fire has broken out at a petrol station on Bulgaria's Trakia Motorway near the city of Plovdiv after a truck hit one of the pumps, the Ministry of the Interior said on Friday.
No one was hurt in the incident that took place at about 11.50 a.m. (0830 GMT) at the station owned by Eko Bulgaria, a subsidiary of Greece's Hellenic Petroleum group.
Bulgarian Farmland Prices Keep Rising, Up 7% Y/Y in 2015
Prices of arable land in Bulgaria continued to rise last year, maintaining their upward trend for a sixth year running,official statistics show.
The average price of arable land has risen by 7.5% year-on-year in 2015 transactions, reaching BGN 761 per decare, or 1,000 square meters, the National Statistical Institute said in a statement on Friday.
Bulgarian Children's Fund Bosses Face Corruption Charges
Bulgaria's special prosecution is investigating five officials from the Fund for Treatment of Children Abroad, including its former head, Pavel Aleksandrov, for corruption, it said on Thursday.
The administrators of the fund, who have been charged with participating in an organized criminal group, corruption and official misconduct, were all released on bail.
Romania, Ukraine Plot Closer Defence Ties
Close cooperation on security topped the agenda in discussions between Romanian President Klaus Iohannis and his Ukrainian counterpart during Petro Poroshenko's visit to Romania on Thursday.
"We support Romania's initiative to create a NATO joint fleet in the Black Sea and we want to join it immediately once the initiative gets the Alliance's approval," President Poroshenko said.
