Bulgarian Parliament to Vote on Censure Motion

The Bulgarian parliament will vote on the first censure motion against the second government of Boyko Borsiov on Friday.

The opposition will subject the government to a vote of no confidence for its failure in its healthcare policy.

The censure motion is expected to be unsuccessful as the opposition parties will not garner the support of 121 MPs.

Balkan States Agree to Transport Migrants to Austria

Juncker: CVM on Bulgaria to Be Lifted by End-2019

The monitoring of Bulgaria under the EU's Cooperation and Verification Mechanism (CVM) will be lifted during the term of office of the current European Commission, the head of the EU's executive body, Jean-Claude Juncker, has said.

The mandate of the college of commissioners headed by Juncker will expire at the end of 2019.

Bulgaria strongly condemns Wednesday's car bomb attack in Turkey's capital Ankara which claimed the lives of 28 people, Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov has said.

Bulgaria's Finance Ministry has chosen four banks as lead managers of a bond sale of up to BGN 3.9 B (EUR 2 B) on global markets in 2016, Reuters reported on Thursday, citing an inside source.

Another source has told the newswire that Citi and JP Morgan Chase were two of the chosen lead managers, and the other two were European banks.
