President Nikolic to visit Sarajevo in June
BELGRADE -- Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will visit Sarajevo at the beginning of June, his foreign affairs adviser Ivan Mrkic has announced.
Mrkic told Belgrade-based daily Danas that the visit to Sarajevo had to wait until after elections in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Croatia Outlines Plan to Tame Deficit by 2018
Croatia's government on Thursday agreed an economic convergence programme for the 1015-2018 period, which will be submitted to the European Commission for approval.
The report assessed the main economic indicators, planned mechanisms for controlling negative trends and planned reforms aimed at keeping the budget deficit and public debt in check.
Romania Faces EU Penalties Over Law Delays
The European Commission on Wednesday said it was referring Romania to the EU Court of Justice for failing to enact revised EU legislation on packaging waste into domestic law.
The revised Packaging Directive updates rules on packaging and packaging waste with a view to reducing their impact on the environment, the Commission said in a statement.
Bulgaria Improves Ranking in EU Funds Implementation
Bulgaria ranked 22nd among the 28 member states of the EU in terms of fund assimilation from the older program period.

BELGRADE -- Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic says that 99.5 percent of Serbian citizens seeking asylum in EU countries have been sent back.
The reason is that Serbia has been declared a country of safe origin, he told a news conference on Friday.

Croatia to Offer Shares in Highways to Citizens
Croatia has dumped controversial plans to offer its state-owned highways in a concession to private foreign companies, and has decided to offer shares in the highways to ordinary citizens instead.
The government is to offer the shares in the state-owned company Croatian highways, HAC, which manages most of the highways, to both ordinary citizens and pension funds.
