Montenegro Protests Over Croatia's Adriatic Oil Probes
Montenegro's Foreign Minister, Igor Luksic, on Thursday said his government had sent four protest notes to Croatia over a planned oil and gas probe in the waters of the disputed Prevlaka area, south of Dubrovnik.

Croatia Promises to Slash Cost of State Bodies
Croatia's government on Thursday vowed to cut the cost of the state administration by some 130 million euro a year, to meet a set of reforms and measures needed to correct macroeconomic imbalances.
The measures and reforms are described in a draft sent on Monday to the European Commission, which in May will decide on EU measures to be taken in Croatia.

BELGRADE -- Supporters of the Serb Radical Party (SRS) on Tuesday staged a protest in Belgrade when they burned flags of NATO, the EU, the United States, and Kosovo.
The protest was held in front of the General Staff building in Belgrade that was destroyed in the NATO bombing that started this day 16 years ago.
Croatian PM Vows to Keep Big Loss-Maker Going
Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic on Monday vowed to keep the troubled state-owned fertilizer company Petrokemije Kutina - which ran up tens of millions of euro in losses last year - alive.
"This is a political task for me and for the Minister of Economy [Ivan Vrdoljak], to maintain production and ensure that the company survives," he said.
Croatia Leads NATO Balkan Team in Afghanistan
Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and Macedonia are set to sign a agreement on their joint participation in the new NATO-led mission in Afghanistan.
The defence ministers of the countries will shortly sign the technical contract on deploying troops in a joint unit in a mission codenamed Resolute Support, which launched in January.
