ALMATY - Serbian men's water polo team claimed the gold medal at the FINA World Cup in Kazakhstan, after a penalty shoot-out win over Hungary 11-9 (1-2, 3-3, 1-1, 2-1, 4-2) in the final match on Sunday.
The team coached by Dejan Savic extended their dominance in the world water polo with the third trophy this summer, after winning the World League and the European Championship.
Serbia tops Croatia for final vs. Hungary
ALMATY - Serbia is through to the final of the 2014 men's Fina Water Polo World Cup, after beating Croatia by 7-4 (2-1, 2-0, 3-1, 0-2) in the semifinal match on Saturday.
The top scorer in the Serbian team was Dusan Mandic with two goals, while Strahinja and Viktor Rasovic, Dusan Markovic, Gavril Subotic and Srdjan Vuksanovic scored a goal each.

Croatia's centre-left government has announced income tax cuts for 2015, increasing the untaxed threshold in salaries and lifting the limit at which the highest income tax rates of 40 per cent start.
Untaxed incomes rates will rise from 293 euro to 346 euro a month, bringing some relief to all wage earners.

ZAGREB -- Croatia's government, at the request of the United States, has decided to give surplus weapons to Kurds in Iraq free of charge.

The Croatian internet portal Dalmacija News risks being fined between 13,300 and 133,000 euro, or even having its website shut down, for showing the gruesome video of the execution of captured US journalist James Foley.
On Tuesday, it published the full undisclosed video of Foley's execution at the hands of Islamic State fighters, one of whom spoke with a British accent.
Croatia to Lease its Highways to Private Company
Croatia is to offer a tender to a private company to run the country's 1,017 kilometres of highways, currently managed by indebted state company Croatian Highways, HAC.
The concession will be offered to lease the highways for 30 to 50 years for an estimated price of 2.5 to 3 billion euro.
