The Avramopoulos factor in the conservative ND party
EU Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos may have resigned as deputy prime minister of the conservative New Democracy (ND) party but he is still keeping a watch on his party's developments. Despite his post in Brussels he believes that it is only a matter of time befoe a "government of national reconstruction" is created.

FAZ: Tsipras expresses fears for liquidity problems by end of March
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras expressed his fears that Greece will be facing a liquidity problem in the end of the current month, according to the Sunday issue of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
Greeks should be prepared for the possibility that state salaries will not be paid at the end of March, according to the newspaper.
Greek defense minister chides Schaeuble over comments
Greece?s Defense Minister Panos Kammenos (photo) has accused German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble of exercising a form of ?psychological warfare? on Greece through his repeated comments about the country.
?I do not understand why he criticizes Greece every day with new statements,? Kammenos told the German daily Bild.
Greek finance minister says some election vows can be put off
Greece's combative finance minister has indicated that Athens' new radical left government is prepared to put some of its campaign promises on hold while it seeks to build confidence among its creditors.
"Our program is a program for four years," Yanis Varoufakis told reporters after a meeting of economic and finance leaders in northern Italy on March 13.
