Kammenos sends stern message to Ankara from Greek army border outpost
Defense Minister Panos Kammenos on Thursday sought to send a stern message to Turkey and other countries questioning Greece's territorial integrity, declaring during a visit to military outpost near the Albanian border that Greece "will not accept such provocations" and saying he would stay the night at the outpost to underline the "fortified presence" of the Greek military.
School girl praised after returning fat wallet
Police in Serres, northern Greece, on Thursday sang the praises of a middle-school student who handed in a wallet containing nearly 3,400 euros.
Police described the young girl as a "role model" and said that when she was informed she could keep the money if the wallet's owner could not be traced, she asked that it be donated to a charity.
Socar says other plans in Greece won't be affected by DESFA
Azeri state energy company Socar said on Thursday its failure to reach an agreement on buying a 66 percent stake in Greek gas grid operator DESFA would not affect its investment plans in Greece and the region.
The Greek Energy Ministry had said on Wednesday Socar's proposal to reduce the price of the 400-million-euro deal was unfeasible.

Moscovici: Still work to be done for deal on Greek reforms next week
Talks between Greece and its European Union creditors are progressing but work is still needed to reach a technical deal on Greek reforms, the EU commissioner for economic affairs said on Thursday.
"The discussions continue, the positions are getting closer, but there is still work to be done," Pierre Moscovici told a news conference in Brussels.
Tsipras-Merkel phone contact
Greek PM Alexis Tsipras contacted German Chancellor Angela Merkel over the phone and discussed had a phone contact. The two leaders touched on the matters the EU-Turkish relations in light of the developments on the Cypriot negotiations and the implementation of the refugee agreement. The Greek PM also brought up the increasingly aggressive rhetoric on the part of Turkey against Greece.

Turkish Foreign Minister: Imia is Turkish land
In the latest series of provocations against Greece, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu claimed the island of Imia in the Aegean Sea belonged to Turkey, in a written response to a Turkish MP’s question in the country’s national assembly, Wednesday. “There is no change in our policy regarding Imia. Imia is Turkish land”, the Turkish Foreign Minister said.
