German press calls for expulsion of Greece from Eurozone

A portion of the German press is openly calling for the expulsion of Greece from the common European currency area, following Monday’s Eurogroup meeting, which decided to release a part of the 2.8bln-Euro sub-tranche to the crisis-stricken country and the uncertainty of whether the IMF will continue to support the bailout program.

Kammenos says he would withdraw support for government if Church is disregarded

The leader of the junior coalition party, the Independent Greeks (ANEL), Panos Kammenos says he would withdraw his support for the government if the Church of Greece is disregarded.

Speaking to Antenna TV on Tuesday, Kammenos said that a conflict between the State and the Church "would be catastrophic for Greece."

Fifteen Syrian refugees sent to Bulgaria have decided to call off a hunger stike they were planning, the refugee agency has said after holding talks with them.
