A crowdfunding campaign on IndieGoGo aims to raise 1 million dollars to help set up a hotel in Greece. The campaign is in the “flexible funding” category, meaning that if the goal is not reached then the money raised will not be returned but will be divided between hoteliers in the area.

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov boasted about Bulgaria's contribution to the EU's security, portraying the country as one of the worst hit by increasing migratory pressure at a meeting with Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.
EC grants 16.2 mln euros to Greece and Bulgaria after natural disasters
The Commission decided to grant aid worth €16.2 million from the EU Solidarity Fund to Greece and Bulgaria following natural disasters that occurred in the winter of 2015. Greece suffered from wide-spread flooding affecting five of its regions, while considerable damage was caused in Bulgaria due to severe winter conditions.

The Smile of the Child Director Costas Giannopoulos said that the 11 refuge homes in Athens might need to close within months because companies can no longer afford to sponsor these. Speaking to Sky News, he said: “It’s devastating. 380 children are expecting us to continue their lives, so there is no way we can abandon them for a second time.”
Delphi claims title of European Capital of Culture 2021
The Region of Central Greece has put up a bid for Delphi to claim the title of European Capital of Culture in 2021. The statement from the region said: “Delphi is undoubtedly a world-class cultural monument.”
The local authority plans to create a joint working group to prepare the town’s bid in the best possible way.
