Earthquake in the NW Peloponnese

A 4.3 on the Richter scale earthquake  has hit the western port city of Patras,, northwest Peloponnese, at 7.10 p.m. (17.10 GMT) on Sunday.

Patras is the 3rd largest city of Greece after the capital, Athens, and Thessaloniki. The epicenter was located approximately 48 kilometers south of the city. So far no damages have been reported.

Greece 'Should Adopt New Laws by Wednesday'

The Greek Parliament should pass fresh legislation by Wednesday if it is to receive new bailout assistance, Finnish Finance Minister Alexander Stubb has said.

Stubb made his comments just after the Eurogroup's Sunday session on Greece ended to give way to a meeting of Eurozone leaders.

German president Gauck: Cannot image Eurozone without Greece

A personal Tweet by one of three reporters that interviewed German Federal President Joachim Gauck for ZDF television, the journalist noted that the latter said he “cannot imagine a Eurozone without Greece”.

The interview is scheduled to appear on Sunday evening in Germany.

Russia Mulls Energy Supplies to Greece, Energy Min Says

Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak has said his country is considering options to provide direct energy supplies to Greece.

Energy cooperation might be expanded since Moscow and Athens are "working on them [supplies of raw materials] and we expect an agreement to be reached in a few weeks' time," Russian business daily RBC quotes Novak as saying.

European Council President Donald Tusk has cancelled the summit meeting of European Union heads of government scheduled to discuss Greece on Sunday.
