Acropolis Museum: A century of Greek tourism architecture (photos)
The Greek participation in the 14th Biennale of Architecture in Venice, Italy, titled "Tourism Landscapes: Remaking Greece" and features Greek architecture from 1914-2014. It is on display for the Greek public to enjoy at the Acropolis Museum (D. Areopagitou Street, at the foot of the Acropolis) from Friday, March 27, through to April 11.
Kammenos wants ? 2 mln from Protagon cartoonist, Potami chief
Greece's Defense Minister Panos Kammenos has sued cartoonist Andreas Petroulakis and centrist Potami Leader Stavros Theodorakis. He is demanding a million euros from each one for defamation on the site, Protagon. The cartoonist states that Theodorakis no longer has a relation with the Protagon news site as he transfered his shares.
Greek govt says national reform plan on its way
The Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) government on Thursday said it would submit an elaborate national reform plan to Eurogroup as time is running out. Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis' colleagues said that the Greek side would present its reforms to the three institutions of international creditors in a teleconference call on Monday.
Lights off at Athens International Airport on Saturday
The Eleftherios Venizelos Athens International Airport is taking part in international Earth Hour from 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, by switching off lights at one of its two runways as well as other select parts of the airport, such as staff parking. Earth Hour is a lights-off event that was founded in 2007.
