Montenegro Muslim Leader Condemns Paris Killings

The head of Montenegro's Islamic community, Rifat Fejzic, on Thursday condemned the Islamist terror attack in Paris, which claimed the lives of 12 people.

At the same time, he criticized the cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed that were the alleged reason for the attack on the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine.

The Montenegrin parliament is shortly to discuss a government proposal to retire all existing intelligence officers aged 50 and older by March 1.

Under an amendment to the law on the National Security Agency, employees with 30 years of work experience, of which at least 15 have been spent working for the Agency, will be retired "under favourable conditions".

Opposition Democratic Front leader Miodrag Lekic will next week start consultations with various parties on an initiative to form a technical temporary government because of what he termed the "serious political and economic crisis" in Montenegro.

Lekic said he would seek the support of all opposition NGOs and parties as well as parties representing ethnic minorities in parliament.

Video footage from the match in Montenegro between hosts Buducnost Podgorica and Banvit showed a fan dashing onto the court and pushing Sammy Mejia in the back.

The Serbian Orthodox Churc's new TV station, TV Hram (Temple) starts broadcasting on Orthodox Christmas, January 7.

The first programme on the online station will be an interview with Church leader Patriarch Irinej.

The managing editor of the station is Stojadin Pavlovic, the director of the patriarchal administrative offices.
