The EU Parliament will Vote On a Resolution on the Accession of Bulgaria and Romania to Schengen

Today, the European Parliament will vote on a resolution for the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the Schengen area. Against this background, the Romanian MEP from the European People's Party, Eugene Tomac, requested that the European Parliament file a case against the European Council before the Court of Justice of the EU for not allowing Romania and Bulgaria into Schengen.

Romania To Host F-16 Pilot Training Centre for NATO

Romania will host pilot training facilities for F-16 aircraft, including those from Ukraine, as part of a new transatlantic military project, according to the Romanian Supreme National Defence Council, CSAT.

The regional hub in Romania will cover the training requirements of allies and regional partners, making Romania a regional leader in F-16 pilot training.

Euractiv: Bulgaria enters Schengen in 2 Stages

Bulgaria will in all probability enter Schengen by the end of the year and the admission will be in two stages. In October, border control at the airports will be abolished, and in January 2024 - the ground control as well.

This was reported by the Brussels-based publication Euractiv, citing sources from diplomatic circles in Brussels, the Bulgarian parliament and the government.

With 290 votes "for", 95 "against" and no abstentions, the two chambers of the Romanian Parliament elected the new Romanian government headed by Marcel Ciolacu. Deputies voted first, then senators.

418 people's representatives out of a total of 465 were present in the hall during today's vote of confidence and the debates, marked by scandal and sharp exchange of remarks.
