Romania Charges Andrew Tate with Human Trafficking and Rape
The Romanian organised crime prosecutors on Tuesday charged brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate with organising a criminal group, aggravated human trafficking, aggravated rape, unlawful access to a computer system, tampering with the integrity of computer data and instigating battery or other violence.
Eurostat: Nearly 1/3 of Bulgarians are at Risk of Poverty
In 2022, 95.3 million people in the European Union were at risk of poverty or social exclusion, i.e. they lived in households with serious financial difficulties. This is according to data from the Eurostat statistical office. They remain almost unchanged from the previous year, when 95.4 million people lived at risk of poverty.
Europol: 28 Arrested for Smuggling Migrants via Bulgaria and Romania
Europol has supported the Romanian Border Police (Poliția Română de Frontera) in dismantling an organized crime group involved in migrant smuggling. The Bulgarian General Directorate Combating Organised Crime (Главна Дирекция Организирана Престъпност) and the German Federal Police in Waidhaus (Bundespolizeiinspektion Waidhaus) were also involved in the operation.

Serbia: 9 migrants found among aluminum rolls in truck
Serbia's customs authorities said Friday they discovered nine migrants hiding among aluminum rolls in a truck headed to Poland from Greece.
Customs officers on Serbia's border with North Macedonia spotted the migrants on Wednesday during a scan that showed human silhouettes in the back of the truck, a statement said.
