Iohannis: I'll support Romania's Davis Cup team from the stands at one of the matches

President Klaus Iohannis announced on Friday on his Facebook account that he will be in the stands of the venue to watch one of the Davis Cup tennis matches opposing the teams of Romania and Israel, to be played in Sibiu.

Tennis - Davis Cup: Romania takes 2-0 lead over Israel after victory of Marius Copil

German Foreign Minister on official visit to Romania on Monday

Bulgaria's Tsvetana Pironkova Defeated at 1/8 Finals in Dubai

Bulgaria's top female tennis player Tsvetana Pironkova was defeated in the 1/8 finals of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships on Wednesday.

Pironkova was defeated by top seeded Simona Halep from Romania with 4:6, 3:6, daily Dnevnik reports.

The Bulgarian performed well, but was seemingly exhausted from the previous two matches, which lasted for more than two hours each.

Bulgaria's best female tennis player Tsvetana Pironkova reached the 1/8 finals of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.

For the first time Pironkova reached the third round of the tournament after winning against Shuai Peng from China with 3:6, 6:4, 7:6 (5) on Tuesday.
